How to Convert MBOX Files to PST Format

PST files are the native format for Outlook and are not compatible with MBOX files, which are commonly used by other email clients such as Thunderbird and Apple Mail. By converting MBOX files to PST format, users can easily import their email messages, contacts, and other data into Outlook without losing any important information. Additionally, PST files offer advanced features and functionality that may not be available in MBOX files, making them a preferred choice for many users.

Aspose.Email for Java is a powerful API that provides comprehensive functionality for working with email messages, contacts, calendars, and tasks in Java applications. To convert MBOX files to PST format, the library offers a MboxStorageReader class which is used to read MBOX files and create a reader object. The PersonalStorage class of the library represents a personal storage (PST) file, which is used to store Outlook data, including emails, contacts, and calendar items. The MailMessage and the MapiMessage classes are used to create objects representing e-mail messages. The FolderInfo class represents a folder within a PST file and provides methods for managing messages within that folder. In the code snippet below, you can see how these classes work together to extract and convert email messages from an MBOX file for further use, storage, or transfer in the PST format.
