Steps to Convert MHTML to PST via Java

Java programmers can easily convert MHTML file to PST in just a few lines of code.

  1. Create a PersonalStorage object by calling the create method and passing the file path of the PST file and the FileFormatVersion.Unicode parameter.
  2. Add an Inbox folder to the root folder of the PersonalStorage object by calling the addSubFolder method on the root folder and passing “Inbox” as the folder name.
  3. Load an existing MHTML file using the MailMessage.load() method and specify the file path as a parameter along with new MhtmlLoadOptions() to load the MHTML file.
  4. Add the loaded MAPI message to the Inbox folder by calling the addMessage method on the Inbox folder object and passing the loaded MAPI message object as the parameter.
