Convert PDF to GIF in PHP

Use Aspose.Slides for PHP via Java to import the pages of a PDF document as slides and export them as an animated GIF.

Call addFromPdf to import the PDF pages, then call save with SaveFormat::Gif to create the animated GIF. You can also test PDF conversion in your browser .

You can install the library from Composer using the following command:

composer require aspose/slides

How to Convert PDF to GIF in PHP

These are the steps to convert a PDF file to GIF using PHP.

  1. Create a Presentation and remove its default slide.

  2. Import the PDF pages with addFromPdf.

  3. Call save with the output file path and SaveFormat::Gif.

System Requirements

Before running the PHP conversion example, make sure that you have the following prerequisites.

  1. Install PHP 7 or later, add the PHP directory to the system PATH, and set allow_url_include to On in the php.ini file.
  2. Install JRE 8 and set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the installed JRE directory.
  3. Install and configure Apache Tomcat 8.0 with PHP/Java Bridge as described in the installation guide .
