Convert POTM to POT in PHP

Aspose.Slides for PHP via Java can load a macro-enabled PowerPoint POTM template and save it in the legacy PowerPoint 97-2003 POT format without Microsoft PowerPoint.

Call save with SaveFormat::Pot to create the binary POT template. Because POT is an older format, features introduced in newer PowerPoint versions may be represented differently in the output.

You can install the library from Composer using the following command:

Console/Terminal

> composer require aspose/slides

How to Convert POTM to POT in PHP

These are the steps to convert a POTM file to POT using PHP.

  1. Load the POTM file with the Presentation class.

  2. Call save with the output file path and SaveFormat::Pot.

  3. The POT file is written to the specified path.

System Requirements

Before running the PHP conversion example, make sure that you have the following prerequisites.

  1. Install PHP 7 or later, add the PHP directory to the system PATH, and set allow_url_include to On in the php.ini file.
  2. Install JRE 8 and set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the installed JRE directory.
  3. Install and configure Apache Tomcat with PHP/Java Bridge as described in the installation guide .
