# Convert PPSM to BMP in PHP

## Convert PPSM to BMP in PHP

[*Aspose.Slides for PHP via Java*](/slides/php-java/) can load a PowerPoint PPSM slide show and render every slide as a BMP image without Microsoft PowerPoint.

Call `getImage` on each slide, then save the returned image with `ImageFormat::Bmp`. The example uses a scale factor of `2.0` for both dimensions.

You can install the library from [Composer](https://packagist.org/packages/aspose/slides) using the following command:

## How to Convert PPSM to BMP in PHP

These are the steps to convert a PPSM file to BMP using PHP.

Load the PPSM file with the `Presentation` class.

For each slide, call `getImage` to render a BMP image.

Save each image to a separate file with `ImageFormat::Bmp`.

## System Requirements

Before running the PHP conversion example, make sure that you have the following prerequisites.

1. Install PHP 7 or later, add the PHP directory to the system `PATH`, and set `allow_url_include` to `On` in the `php.ini` file.
1. Install JRE 8 and set the `JAVA_HOME` environment variable to the installed JRE directory.
1. Install and configure Apache Tomcat with PHP/Java Bridge as described in the [installation guide](https://docs.aspose.com/slides/php-java/installation/).

    $slideCount = java_values($presentation->getSlides()->size());
