Convert PPSM to FODP in PHP

Aspose.Slides for PHP via Java can load a PowerPoint PPSM slide show and save it as a Flat OpenDocument Presentation without Microsoft PowerPoint.

Call save with SaveFormat::Fodp to create the FODP file. The VBA project from the source PPSM file is not retained in the FODP output.

You can install the library from Composer using the following command:

Console/Terminal

> composer require aspose/slides

$presentation = new Presentation("input.ppsm");
try {
    $presentation->save("output.fodp", SaveFormat::Fodp);

    $presentation->dispose();

How to Convert PPSM to FODP in PHP

These are the steps to convert a PPSM file to FODP using PHP.

  1. Load the PPSM file with the Presentation class.

  2. Call save with the output file path and SaveFormat::Fodp.

  3. The FODP file is written to the specified path.

System Requirements

Before running the PHP conversion example, make sure that you have the following prerequisites.

  1. Install PHP 7 or later, add the PHP directory to the system PATH, and set allow_url_include to On in the php.ini file.
  2. Install JRE 8 and set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to the installed JRE directory.
  3. Install and configure Apache Tomcat with PHP/Java Bridge as described in the installation guide .
