Convert FODP to POT in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert FODP presentations to POT templates programmatically. Load the source file into a Presentation instance and save it by using Presentation.save with SaveFormat.POT.

POT is the legacy PowerPoint 97-2003 template format, so the output can be used as a reusable starting point for compatible PowerPoint presentations. You can test the conversion in your browser or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

This sample code shows how to convert FODP to POT in Python

with slides.Presentation("presentation.fodp") as presentation:
    presentation.save("presentation.pot", slides.export.SaveFormat.POT)
 

How to Convert FODP to POT in Python

These are the steps to convert an FODP file to POT using Python.

  1. Load the FODP file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.POT.

  3. The presentation is written to the specified POT file.
