Convert ODP to POTX in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert ODP presentations to POTX files programmatically. Load the source file into a Presentation instance and save it by using Presentation.save with SaveFormat.POTX.

POTX is the macro-free PowerPoint Open XML template format. You can test the conversion in your browser or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

This sample code shows how to convert ODP to POTX in Python

with slides.Presentation("presentation.odp") as presentation:
    presentation.save("presentation.potx", slides.export.SaveFormat.POTX)
 

How to Convert ODP to POTX in Python

Follow these steps to convert an ODP file to POTX using Python.

  1. Load the ODP file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.POTX.

  3. The presentation is written to the specified POTX file.
