Convert ODP to PPTM in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert ODP presentations to PPTM files programmatically. Load the source file into a Presentation instance and export it by using Presentation.save with SaveFormat.PPTM.

PPTM is a macro-enabled PowerPoint Open XML presentation format. Converting an ODP file creates a PPTM container but does not add VBA macros. You can test the conversion in your browser or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

How to Convert ODP to PPTM in Python

Follow these steps to convert an ODP file to PPTM using Python.

  1. Load the ODP file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.PPTM.

  3. The presentation is written to the specified PPTM file.

System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

  • Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the system requirements ).
  • Python 3.5 or later.
  • Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.

    presentation.save("presentation.pptm", slides.export.SaveFormat.PPTM)
