Convert PPS to POTM in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert a PowerPoint Slide Show in PPS format to a PowerPoint Macro-Enabled Template in POTM format. Load the PPS file into a Presentation instance and save it by using SaveFormat.POTM.

The API preserves presentation content and formatting during conversion and does not require Microsoft PowerPoint. Test the conversion in the free online app or integrate the Python API into your application.

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

How to Convert PPS to POTM in Python

Follow these steps to convert a PPS file to POTM using Python.

  1. Load the PPS file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.POTM.

  3. The converted POTM file is written to the specified output path.

System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

  • Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the system requirements ).
  • Python 3.5 or later.
  • Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.
