Convert PPSM to PPTX in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert PPSM slide shows to PPTX presentations programmatically. Load the source file into a Presentation instance and export it by using Presentation.save with SaveFormat.PPTX.

PPTX is the standard PowerPoint Open XML presentation format and does not support VBA macros. Use PPTM instead when a VBA project in the source file must be retained. You can test the conversion in your browser .

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

This sample code shows how to convert PPSM to PPTX in Python

with slides.Presentation("presentation.ppsm") as presentation:
    presentation.save("presentation.pptx", slides.export.SaveFormat.PPTX)
 

How to Convert PPSM to PPTX in Python

These are the steps to convert a PPSM file to PPTX using Python.

  1. Load the PPSM file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.PPTX.

  3. The presentation is written to the specified PPTX file.
