Convert PPSX to ODP in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert a PowerPoint Open XML Slide Show in PPSX format to an OpenDocument Presentation in ODP format. Load the PPSX file into a Presentation instance and save it by using SaveFormat.ODP.

The API preserves presentation content and formatting during conversion and does not require Microsoft PowerPoint. Test the conversion in the free online app or integrate the Python API into your application.

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

How to Convert PPSX to ODP in Python

These are the steps to convert a PPSX file to ODP using Python.

  1. Load the PPSX file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.ODP.

  3. The converted ODP file is written to the specified output path.

System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

  • Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the system requirements ).
  • Python 3.5 or later.
  • Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.
