Convert PPSX to PPTM in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you convert PPSX slide shows to PPTM files programmatically. Load the source file into a Presentation instance and save it by using Presentation.save with SaveFormat.PPTM.

PPTM is the macro-enabled PowerPoint Open XML presentation format. Converting a PPSX file to PPTM does not add VBA macros to the presentation. You can test the conversion in your browser or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from PyPI by using the following command:

pip install aspose-slides

How to Convert PPSX to PPTM in Python

These are the steps to convert a PPSX file to PPTM using Python.

  1. Load the PPSX file into a Presentation instance.

  2. Call Presentation.save with the output file path and SaveFormat.PPTM.

  3. The slide show is written to the specified PPTM file.

System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

  • Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the system requirements ).
  • Python 3.5 or later.
  • Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.
