# Convert PPTM to OTP in Python

## Convert PPTM to OTP in Python

[*Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET*](/slides/python-net/) lets you convert PPTM macro-enabled presentations to OTP templates programmatically. Load the source file into a `Presentation` instance and call `Presentation.save` with `SaveFormat.OTP`.

OTP is the OpenDocument Presentation Template format, so the output can be used as a reusable starting point for OpenDocument presentations. You can test the conversion in your [browser](https://products.aspose.app/slides/conversion) or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from [PyPI](https://pypi.org/project/aspose-slides/) by using the following command:

```

## How to Convert PPTM to OTP in Python

Follow these steps to convert a PPTM file to OTP using Python.

Load the PPTM file into a `Presentation` instance.

Call `Presentation.save` with the output path and `SaveFormat.OTP`.

The presentation is saved as an OTP template at the specified path.

## System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

- Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the [system requirements](https://docs.aspose.com/slides/python-net/system-requirements/)).
- Python 3.5 or later.
- Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.
