## Convert PPTM to PPSM in Python

[*Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET*](/slides/python-net/) lets you convert PPTM presentations to PPSM slide shows programmatically. Load the source file into a `Presentation` instance and save it by using `Presentation.save` with `SaveFormat.PPSM`.

PPSM is the macro-enabled PowerPoint Open XML Slide Show format. It is the appropriate Open XML slide show format when the VBA project in a source PPTM file must remain available. You can test the conversion in your [browser](https://products.aspose.app/slides/conversion) or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from [PyPI](https://pypi.org/project/aspose-slides/) by using the following command:

## How to Convert PPTM to PPSM in Python

These are the steps to convert a PPTM file to PPSM using Python.

Load the PPTM file into a `Presentation` instance.

Call `Presentation.save` with the output file path and `SaveFormat.PPSM`.

The presentation is written to the specified PPSM file.

## System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

- Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the [system requirements](https://docs.aspose.com/slides/python-net/system-requirements/)).
- Python 3.5 or later.
- Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.
