## Convert PPTX to PPTM in Python

[*Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET*](/slides/python-net/) lets you convert PPTX presentations to PPTM files programmatically. Load the source file into a `Presentation` instance and export it by using `Presentation.save` with `SaveFormat.PPTM`.

PPTM is a macro-enabled PowerPoint Open XML presentation format. Converting a PPTX file creates a PPTM container but does not add VBA macros. You can test the conversion in your [browser](https://products.aspose.app/slides/conversion) or use the Python API in your application.

Install the library from [PyPI](https://pypi.org/project/aspose-slides/) by using the following command:

## How to Convert PPTX to PPTM in Python

These are the steps to convert a PPTX file to PPTM using Python.

Load the PPTX file into a `Presentation` instance.

Call `Presentation.save` with the output file path and `SaveFormat.PPTM`.

The presentation is written to the specified PPTM file.

## System Requirements

Before running the Python conversion sample, make sure your environment meets these requirements.

- Microsoft Windows, macOS, or 64-bit Linux (see the [system requirements](https://docs.aspose.com/slides/python-net/system-requirements/)).
- Python 3.5 or later.
- Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET installed in your environment.
