## Merge FODP in Python

[*Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET*](/slides/python-net/) lets you merge Flat OpenDocument Presentation (FODP) files by cloning slides from a source presentation into a destination presentation. `SlideCollection.add_clone` appends a copy of each source slide, including its content and associated formatting. You can then save the combined presentation with `SaveFormat.FODP`.

## Merge FODP files using Python

Open the destination and source FODP presentations, iterate through the source slides, and append a clone of each slide to the destination presentation.

### Python code for merging multiple FODP files into one presentation

```python
with slides.Presentation("destination.fodp") as destination_presentation:
    with slides.Presentation("source.fodp") as source_presentation:
        for slide in source_presentation.slides:
            destination_presentation.slides.add_clone(slide)
    destination_presentation.save("merged-presentation.fodp", slides.export.SaveFormat.FODP)
```

## How to merge FODP files with Aspose.Slides for Python

Follow these steps to merge two FODP files and save the result as a single FODP presentation.

Install Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET by following the [installation guide](https://docs.aspose.com/slides/python-net/installation/).
```console
pip install aspose-slides
```

Make the `aspose.slides` namespace available in your Python project.

Open the destination and source FODP files as `Presentation` instances.

Iterate through the source presentation's slides and call [`SlideCollection.add_clone`](https://reference.aspose.com/slides/python-net/aspose.slides/slidecollection/) for each slide.

Call `Presentation.save` with `SaveFormat.FODP` to write the merged presentation.
