## Merge POTM in Python

[*Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET*](/slides/python-net/) lets you merge Microsoft PowerPoint Macro-Enabled Template (POTM) files by cloning slides from a source `Presentation` into a destination `Presentation`. Append each source slide with `SlideCollection.add_clone`, then call `Presentation.save` with `SaveFormat.POTM` to write the combined template.

## Merge POTM Files Using Python

Open the destination and source POTM files, append a clone of each source slide, and save the merged presentation as a POTM file.

with slides.Presentation("destination.potm") as destination_presentation:
    with slides.Presentation("source.potm") as source_presentation:
        for slide in source_presentation.slides:
            destination_presentation.slides.add_clone(slide)

## How to Merge POTM Files with Aspose.Slides for Python

Follow these steps to merge two POTM files into a single POTM template.

Install Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET by following the [installation guide](https://docs.aspose.com/slides/python-net/installation/).

pip install aspose-slides
```

Make the `aspose.slides` namespace available in your Python project.

Open the destination and source POTM files as `Presentation` instances.

Iterate through the source slides and call [`SlideCollection.add_clone`](https://reference.aspose.com/slides/python-net/aspose.slides/slidecollection/add_clone/) for each slide.

Call `Presentation.save` with `SaveFormat.POTM` to write the merged presentation to a POTM file.
