Merge POTX Files in Python

Combine PowerPoint Open XML template files with a cross-platform Python API

Merge POTX in Python

Aspose.Slides for Python via .NET lets you merge PowerPoint Open XML Template (POTX) files by cloning slides from a source Presentation into a destination Presentation. Append each source slide with SlideCollection.add_clone, then call Presentation.save with SaveFormat.POTX to write the combined template.

Merge POTX Files Using Python

Open the destination and source POTX files, append a clone of each source slide, and save the merged presentation as a POTX file.

Python code for merging multiple POTX files into one file

with slides.Presentation("destination.potx") as destination_presentation:
    with slides.Presentation("source.potx") as source_presentation:
        for slide in source_presentation.slides:
            destination_presentation.slides.add_clone(slide)

    destination_presentation.save("merged_template.potx", slides.export.SaveFormat.POTX)
