C# API to Render XPS to DIF

Export XPS File to DIF via C# without using Microsoft® Excel or Adobe® Acrobat Reader

 

Using Aspose.Total for .NET you can easily convert XPS file to DIF within any .NET, C#, ASP.NET and VB.NET applications. Firstly, by using Aspose.PDF for .NET , you can export XPS to XLSX. After that, by using Aspose.Cells for .NET Spreadsheet Programming API, you can convert XLSX to DIF.

.NET API to Convert XPS to DIF

  1. Open XPS file using Document class
  2. Convert XPS to XLSX by using Save method
  3. Load XLSX document by using Workbook class
  4. Save the document to DIF format using Save method and set Dif as SaveFormat

Convert Protected XPS to DIF via C#

If your XPS document is password protected, you cannot convert it to DIF without the password. Using the API, you can first open the protected document using a valid password and convert it after it. In order to open the encrypted file, you can initialize a new instance of the Document class and pass the filename and password as arguments.

Convert XPS File to DIF with Watermark via C#

While converting XPS file to DIF, you can also add watermark to your output DIF file format. In order to add a watermark, you can create a new Workbook object and open the converted XLSX document, select Worksheet via its index, create a Shape and use its AddTextEffect function. After that you can save your XLSX document as DIF with Watermark.

XPS What is XPS File Format?

An XPS file represents page layout files that are based on XML Paper Specifications created by Microsoft. It was developed as a replacement of EMF file format and is similar to PDF file format, but uses XML in layout, appearance, and printing information of a document. It is, in fact, more justified to say that XPS is an attempt on PDF, but couldn’t get enough popularity as owned by PDF for many reasons. Microsoft provides XPS Document Writer by default from Windows 7 onwards for the creation of XPS files.
