Steps for PPSM Files Compression in C#

Developers can easily zip folders, single or multiple files programmatically with just few lines of code.

  • Define folder path containing PPSM files.
  • Create Object of Archive.
  • Using the Archive object, load file with a full path using its CreateEntry method.
  • Call the Save() method and pass the compressed file name (full path) as a parameter.
  • Now you will get PPSM file as a zip file in a relevant folder without using any zip, rar or any other compatible program.

    PPSM What is PPSM File Format

    Files with PPSM extension represent Macro-enabled Slide Show file format created with Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 or higher. Another similar file format is PPTM which differs in opening with Microsoft PowerPoint in editable format instead of running as Slide Show. When run as slide show, the PPSM file shows the presentation slides with contents intact in the slide show and is in read-only mode by default. PPSM files can still be edited in Microsoft PowerPoint by opening it in PowerPoint.
